Spinach Dill Dip is the classic homemade dip for a picnic. This creamy dip is a staple at any party or gathering for good reason.
Ingredients – 2 tbsp green onion – 8 oz (1 package) cream cheese (softened) – 8 oz (1 package) sour cream – 2 tsp dried dill ( or 2 tbsp fresh dill if available) – ½ tsp salt – 5 oz ( ½ package) frozen spinach – Milk (optional)
First clean and cut the spring onion into small pieces and set it aside for later. In a medium bowl combine cream cheese, sour cream, green onion, dill and salt.
Blend it with an electric mixer on low speed until everything is combined.
Add spinach and mix it with a spoon until everything is well incorporated. Place the complete mixture in the fridge for a while or chill overnight. If the mixture thickens in the fridge you can add a small amount of milk adding 1 tbsp at a time until you get the desired consistency. Serve the dip with your favorite vegetables.
