Pear Gouda Grilled Cheese Sandwich

The Pear Gouda Grilled Cheese Sandwich is a twist on the classic grilled cheese sandwich, with the addition of sweet pears and creamy gouda cheese.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 slice pullman bread or country bread
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp dijon mustard
  • 4 oz. gouda
  • 1 pear
  • 1 cup baby arugula

Instructions
 

  • Clean the pear, slice it into tiny slices and leave it aside for later.

  • Spread one side of each slice of bread with the unsalted butter, you can also use oil as well. Then spread the dijon mustard.

  • Place the slices of pear and gouda over the bread and top with baby arugula. Place the top slice of bread on the sandwich.

  • Take a non-stick pan and place it over low heat. You may want to add some oil in the pan to make the bread crispier. Place the sandwiches in the pan, flip it on the other side as well and cook until the bread is golden brown and crisp and the gouda has melted.
