8oz8 slices turkey (smoked or ham will work great)
A few fresh basil leaves
4tbsppepper jelly
2tbspbuttermelted
whole or halved strawberries for garnishoptional
Instructions
Before assembling the sandwiches, cut the brie into ½ inch thick slices and cut the fresh basil leaves into thin slices. Also slice the strawberries. When you have all these ingredients ready, you can make the sandwich.
On a cutting board lay one slice of bread and top with 2 slices of smoked turkey, some fresh basil leaves, strawberries and slices of brie.
Spread 1 tbsp of pepper jelly on one side of the second bread slice and place face down on top of brie.
Put the sandwich in a preheated panini press and brush with melted butter. You can also add some butter on the outside of the both bread slices before you start creating the sandwich. Close your panini press and cook the sandwich until the bread gets golden brown and crispy and the cheese is melted.
Repeat the same procedure for the rest of the sandwiches.
Garnish with fresh strawberries and basil, if desired.
